Stillout,
Since I work in construction in the uptown area, I’m going to see if I can find a high-rise building under construction that would allow a few folks in to the upper levels for some photography sessions. IF we can pull this off, who would be interested?
Hi Everyone,
Just started an GLBT Erotic Art Photography company based here in Charlotte with a friend of mine (Anteros Media) we will be doing photoshoots in Charlotte and surrounding areas. I’m all for other photographers joining in. For the record the McGill Rose Garden is a great plce to do photos and the manager is gay….
Richard, Yes, we definitely still meet and the next meeting is November 21 at 11.
I haven’t found the high rise building we can get in YET, but I’m still working on it!!
Soooooo who all is interested in field trips? Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden still has the Orchid House in full bloom. I really want to do a “Junk Yard” shoot. There is Hollywild in Inman SC, the Zoo in Asheboro and Columbia SC. I’m sure there are some great areas for Christmas lights around if we want to do a night shoot…

What a great meeting. Loved having all the new faces!! After Thanksgiving McAdenville NC, aka Christmas City USA, near Gastonia lights up every night till New Years. And I really like Keith’s idea of the junk yard shoot! Hope to see everyone at the December 5th workshop!!
Okay so what do we want to do for the Dec. 5th lighting thing? I was thinking of doing a basic portrait lighting setup and let everyone take turns being the model. Then doing some work with “found light” in other words natural lighting. Teach a few of my odd personal lighting quirks (like using my hand to create shadows and reflect light). Remeber I’m a low tech kind of guy. If I can find a cheap easy way to get an effect I’ll use it…
World AIDS Day is Dec. 1st, Tuesday, doesn anyone have plans on what they are going to do to honor it? I was thinking we should do something to remember those we’ve lost, and those we know with this illness. I was thinking of maybe a picture outing with red ribbons as the theme…

Hi Benn,
Well I would be interested in location shooting on a high rise. The fact that I’m a klutz and scared of heights not withstanding…..
