On Thursday, February 4th, from 6pm to 8pm, the StillOut photography club presents a reception celebrating the opening of our first ever gallery exhibition. Please join us at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center of Charlotte (http://www.gaycharlotte.com). We’ll have free food and wine. There is no cost for this event, but we encourage donations to the Center. Also, most of our photographs may be purchased, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Community Center.

StillOut was formed in September of 2009. As word has spread through the community, our club has grown quickly to fill a need in the LGBT and allies community. We welcome all skill levels of photographers to join us. We have absolute beginners to seasoned professionals and everything in between. In the coming months, we’ll be moving ahead with field trips and themed photo shoots as well as additional workshops. We hope all photography enthusiasts will join us the third Saturday of each month at the Center for our regular meetings, or join us on the web and sign up on our online forum.

In our first ever club exhibition, we have a variety of works, from a diverse cross section of
our members. This exhibition has no specific theme. We’ve simply asked our members to bring us their favorites. Most of the works you see are available for purchase. We’ve decided to provide special pricing to our community, to make these works accessible to the largest audience in these tough economic times. A percentage of each sale goes to the Community Center.
